Special Projects: Advancing Cutting-Edge Technologies

The Special Projects program pioneers world-first projects by Advancing Cutting-Edge Technologies. It is tailored for professional design graduates to work on advanced R+D projects for real-world applications. These projects are established by BMW Group in Munich and are supported by the Special Projects team at the academy.

We currently have three Design Associates, Jordan Domjahn, Epi Pereira and Tim Lim (all previous QUT alumni and BMW Group interns) working at the BMW Group + QUT Design Academy facilitating this program.

Advanced R+D Collaboration

The work we conduct with BMW Group through the Special Projects program is confidential and commercially sensitive so no details can be provided for most of our projects.

However, a recent project that we can share involves the work that BMW Group and NVIDIA recently announced, that our QUT designers are currently involved in. We can also share a video of our QUT alumni working on some advanced R+D projects at BMW Group headquarters in Munich, Germany during their internship program.

To find out more about the BMW Group + QUT Design Academy Special Projects program register for our newsletter in our contacts page. Likewise, follow our Instagram and LinkedIn pages for up-to-date information on all our programs, projects and activities.
